World War II Coin Collection (4 silver and 2 base metal coins) in medium M-Box with certificate. Last Australian coin set with a high fineness of silver. This historical coin set consists of six Australian coins from the period of World War II, including four made of silver. It is the last issue series before the fineness of the silver coins was reduced from .925 to .500 silver in 1946. All obverses feature King George VI, who was the head of the Commonwealth at the time. His encouraging radio address to the United Kingdom during the war is well known, among other things, through the movie "The King's Speech". Dating from before decimalization, four of the coins have special denominations (3 Pence, 6 Pence, 1 Shilling and 1 Florin)
