Beautiful white sand beaches
This small island in the English Channel has been issuing their own stamps since 1969. The island still belongs to the English Crown, but has home rule to a certain extend. Jersey has a lot to offer in spite of it’s size of just 116 km2. As here you find both white beaches with palm trees, steep cliffs, fertile fields, cool forests and lively towns. The variation, the sunny and the fertile. All this is also to be experienced on the stamps from Jersey, which is a very likeable collection area. Especially the nature and the rich fauna and flora as well as the sea and all its facets are popular themes, but also assorted transports often occur on the stamps. Another advantage is that Jersey still can be collected complete at an affordable price, which is a good starting point for a new collection.
