Commemorative silver coin issued on the occasion of Princess Margrethe's 18th birthday on 16 April 1958. Princess Margrethe was born on 16 April 1940, and as the years passed, it became clear that the royal family would likely not expand beyond the three princesses. In connection with the 1953 revision of the Constitution, a change was adopted granting Princess Margrethe the right to succeed her father, officially designating her as the Heir to the Throne. On 16 April 1958, the Heir to the Throne turned 18 and thus became a member of the Council of State. Coin diameter: 31 mm, Fineness: 800, Weight: 15 grams.
