Martin Mörck, the world's most productive living stamp designer and engraver, can celebrate his 1000th stamp on 11 August 2023. The stamp shows Emil Krause's 1933 painting titled "Returning from Fishing". The stamp reflects the cultural identity of the Faroe Islands and includes the Faroese landscape. Until now, Czeslaw Slania held the record for the largest hand-engraved stamp (55 x 75 mm), but Martin Mörck and the Faroese Post Office have beaten it with this one, measuring 62 x 82 mm. Martin Mörck is the second stamp artist ever to complete 1000 stamps, the first was Czeslaw Slania
