Privacy Policy (GDPR)

1. Purpose
One of Nordfrim’s main goals is to maintain the highest level of security for our customers and our employees, also when it comes to protection of personal data.

Nordfrim wishes to inform in a clear and understandable way how we treat your personal data.

2. Nordfrim’s storage of personal data
Nordfrim registers and stores personal data from the customers in our web shops in order to be able to handle orders and requests from customers. The personal data is stored on servers located in Denmark.

This means that we save name, address, telephone number and e-mail address in our databases.
Moreover, we save the customers’ invoices, credit notes and payment information in order to be able to offer good customer service when you deal with our company.

When you pay with credit card, we cooperate with an authorized payment service company, this company controls the validity of the card directly with the bank. The payment service company treats the data in compliance with international security standards issued by the card companies Visa and MasterCard. The payment information is treated in a secure way and Nordfrim has no access to these.

Credit card information is only saved upon detailed authorization. The payment information are used with payment tokens which means that they are securely stored with our payment service supplier and not directly with Nordfrim.

Cookies: A cookie is an information about the user, it is a .txt-file, which is exchanged between the browser and the server. We use two sorts of cookies. In some of our web services we use "sessions-cookies", so that we can send the right web sites to the right person. The Session cookie is temporary, and it only exists as long as the browser window is open. It will be deleted when the browser, e.g. Internet Explorer is closed. For pop-ups and general web statistics we use permanent cookies, which are saved on your computer. In order to be able to develop and improve our web sites, we use statistics telling how you use the web site. These statistics are only used as a summary, e.g. to see which pages and browsers you use frequently.

3. Nordfrim’s use of personal data
Nordfrim uses your personal data for the following:

  • delivery of your orders
  • communication in relation to your order, payment and offers
  • individual marketing, offers for your collection areas
  • investigations, statistics and analysis in order to improve our websites
  • if needed for legal purposes

Nordfrim shares your data with your suppliers when we send out marketing material and, if requested by law, in relation to public authorities. We only share the data you have entered on our website.

When you are in contact with Nordfrim, you accept that we treat your data according to this Personal Privacy Policy.

4. Nordfrim-s procedure for correction and deleting personal data
It is always possible for your to access your personal data which we have registered. You can object to any registration in accordance with the rules concerning personal data.

If you are a customer with Nordfrim, we save your data as long as you are doing business with us. According to accounting laws, we have to save data for five years. In order to respect the product guarantee rules, we have to save data for two years.

If you are not a customer, we save the communication as long as it is relevant for the case.
The information you give us when you create a user name and a password for our services, will be saved as long as your user profile is active. Afterwards, it will be deleted on our back-ups and in our archives after 30 days.

When you sign up for our newsletters, we save your e-mail address until you unsubscribe.
In order to be protected against virus and other attacks, we use well-known antivirus software and firewalls.

5. Nordfrim’s employees treatment of personal data
The employees who are dealing with orders and customer service have access to the registered personal data. In order to access this data, the users have to login with user ID and password. The password is being changed every 3rd month, and employees leaving the company are deactivated in the system.

The employees who are involved have received detailed information about the rules for storage and deleting of personal data. Our employees know the rules for treatment of personal data and they are of course bound by secrecy.
