PostNL issues a new sheet of children's stamps on October 9, 2023, with value indication 1 for destinations within the Netherlands. This year the design of the 5 stamps focuses on LEGO toys. PostNL has been issuing children's stamps since 1924 to raise money for projects aimed at the well-being of vulnerable children. This is done through a surcharge of EUR 0.50 per stamp. The proceeds from all benefits go to the projects of the Netherlands Children's Postage Stamps Foundation. This independent foundation is committed to giving children in the Netherlands and other countries equal development opportunities. To make the help possible, the foundation organizes, among other things, the children's stamp campaign. The campaign has been included in the Intangible Heritage Inventory of the Netherlands since 2017.
